Palm Cove
THE JEWEL OF FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
PALM COVE
A tropical getaway...
From your bird’s eye view you look down on Palm Cove – just five minutes away by car.
Less than half an hour from Cairns and the airport (26km), Palm Cove is famous for its massive Melaleucas and colourful buildings along Williams Esplanade. Opposite is the beach, the swaying coconut palms and the bright turquoise Coral Sea.
It is a relaxed place with a Caribbean laid-back quality. Cafes, street tables, boutiques, spa treatments and strollers with a backdrop of holiday apartments and hotels. Situated at the northern end of Trinity Bay, Palm Cove is perfect for fishing off the picturesque jetty, paddling a sea-kayak out to Double Island or early morning walking the long curving beach past Clifton and Kewarra to Taylor Point.
Travelling north, Port Douglas, it is an easy 40 minute drive along the famous coast hugging road known as the Captain Cook Highway. Have lunch in Port and go on to Mossman Gorge for a swim under the rainforest canopy in the unbelievably clear water of the Mossman River. There are deep pools with huge rounded granite boulders separating one swimming hole from another.
Unforgettable views. Unsurpassed location.
A short drive to Palm Cove, nestled in native forest. Sweeping views from Double Island to Cairns city.
